King’s IFM, a wholly owned operational body of King’s College Hospital engaged us to undertake a review of their current procurement processes and Standard Operating Procedures. The goal was to provide them with a road map of how to transform their existing systems and infrastructure to those of a best practice procurement organisation
Firstly we reviewed all spend to identify pricing discrepancies and drive efficiency through procurement, supply chain and finance processes
We also reviewed and mapped existing processes and policies that would impact the delivery of catalogue management and identified opportunities for improvement via engagement workshops
We identified and documented catalogue management departmental KPIs and future Service Levels as well as a long term technology roadmap for catalogue management enhancement
A clear communication and implementation plan was delivered including training and most importantly over £7 million of opportunity savings was identified for category manager to deliver on
